Welcome to my blog! I’m a mom of two teenage boys on the autism spectrum – age 19 and 16. My 19 year old is currently attending a transition program for neuro-diverse high school graduates. The program lasts until the end of the school year following his 22nd birthday. My 16 yr old is mainstreamed into neuro-typical high school and is currently a junior. The journey from preschool until now has definitely been a dance hence the name TheAutismDance.com. I will be sharing article’s chronicling my journey, not necessarily in chronological order. I decided I would begin with the present and share my experiences as they flow from memory. My husband will also be contributing his perspective.
